My journey began through disciplined training, military service, education, and coaching. Those experiences taught me that lasting success is built through preparation, consistency, accountability, and the willingness to keep growing through adversity. They shaped the way I approach leadership, athletics, mentorship, and life.

After returning to the Tidewater area of Virginia in the late 1980s and early 1990s, I balanced active-duty service with my growing passion for coaching and mentoring young people. What began as a desire to help athletes develop soon became a lifelong commitment to helping young men and women become stronger, more disciplined, and better prepared for life.

From 1992 until my retirement from coaching in 2017, I served as an educator, coach, and mentor at my alma mater, East High School in Pennsylvania. I worked with young people from elementary school through high school and had the privilege of guiding them through some of the most important and impressionable years of their lives.

My coaching experience included seven years as a boys’ varsity basketball assistant coach, fifteen years as head girls’ varsity basketball coach, twelve years coaching track and field, five years as a junior football coach and 10 years as head varsity football coach. In track and field, I coached and trained sprinters, mid-distance runners, the 4×100 relay, and long jump athletes.

Through those roles, I learned that coaching is about far more than competition. It is about teaching young people how to respect themselves and others, discipline and condition their bodies, strengthen their minds, accept responsibility, and recognize the opportunities in front of them. My goal has always been to help athletes understand that their future is not something that simply happens to them—it is something they help build.

My experiences as a Persian Gulf War veteran, educator, coach, and mentor continue to shape the XtremePassion mission. I created this brand to give athletes, families, and leaders practical guidance for developing discipline, confidence, character, and purpose in every area of life.

My mission is to help people discover their potential, develop their own Elite Edge, and lead with the discipline and integrity needed to succeed on and off the field.
